Semi-rimless small women’s eyeglass frames

Eyeglass frames come in mainly three basic styles, including full frames, semi-frames and rimless ones. In fact, eyeglass frames produced by various manufacturers differ little in other aspects such as temples and nose pads. The most significant difference always lies in frame style. In the old days, all types of eyeglass frames had full frames. This simply means that the lens frame has two round circles which wrap around the respective eyeglass lenses. Of course, this style of eyeglass frames is still around currently. But to some extent, they are losing popularity gradually. Most eyeglass wearers consider full frames as a traditional style. The second style is semi-rimless. A pair of semi-rimless eyeglasses has a lens frame which has only two half circles. The two lenses are only half covered by the eyeglass frame. In a natural design, the half part of the frame touches the upper part of the lenses, rather than the bottom part. Compared with full frames, semi frames use fewer materials and look more concise. A pair of proper eyeglasses usually functions as a fashionable accessory for women. Nowadays, there are many brands that provide semi-rimless small women’s eyeglass frames.

Compared with rimless eyeglass frames, semi-rimless ones are more conventional. Some ladies really like to be more stylish by wearing rimless eyeglasses. In fact, those rimless eyeglasses have no complete frame. The lenses are directly connected to the temples using tiny screws. Many people would think rimless frames are more concise and simple. But there is still a common concern about safety. Rimless eyeglasses are more likely to break under certain pressure or in an unlucky instance. Without certain support from a frame, the lenses are more fragile once there is a hit. As a result, many women choose to wear semi-rimless eyeglasses, which compromise little lens security while granting enough attractiveness. In a gradual way, semi-rimless spectacles become even smaller. This trend is probably a response to many women’s special tastes

Currently, semi-rimless small women’s eyeglass frames are available from both traditional and online eyewear stores. Similar to other eyeglass types, women’s semi-rimless eyeglasses come in more options on the Internet. Typing “semi-rimless small women’s eyeglass frames” in Google, there are many online retailers that provide these products. Top ones include zennioptical.com, ehow.com, and firmoo.com and so on. Bifocal Contact Lens, A cure to visionary problems

Millions of people of the present world suffer from visionary problems. These problems are of two types: nearsightedness or myopia and farsightedness or hyperopia. When a person suffers from myopia he or she has problems seeing objects at far distance. The effect of hyperopia is just the opposite; people have problem seeing objects which are near. Some people even suffer from both myopia and hyperopia. Previously, the only solution or cure to these problems was wearing glass spectacles. Different type of glasses was used for these problems. People suffering from both myopia and hyperopia had to bear the most. They had to wear glasses made of two types of glasses, one at the upper part and other at the lower part; differentiated by a line across the glass. Such glasses were effective, but very uncomfortable, as they were heavy and the thick frames caused much discomfort. The person had to see either through the upper part or the lower part. The glass spectacles were also unattractive.

Nowadays, people do suffer from this eye problem, but the cure has become much easier. People don’t have to wear thick, heavy specs anymore. With the discovery of bifocal lens, people do not face this problem. Bifocal contact lenses have all the qualities that the bifocal glass specs had. Every online store sells these bifocal contact lenses from the reputed lens manufacturing companies. There are numerous well known companies who manufacture contact lenses. The online stores sell these lenses all over the world. They make enough profit from this.

Bifocal contact lenses are of various types; like the alternating designed lens, simultaneous designed lens, mono-vision lens, concentric design lens etc. Works of all these lenses are more or less the same; only the technique differs. In the alternating designed contact lens, half part of the lens has power to see distant object and other half is to see the nearer objects. The simultaneous designed contact lenses have mixed power, the human eye gets adapted to it slowly. In the mono-vision contact lens, two different type of lens are worn in the two eyes; whereas for the concentric contact lenses the inner part of the lens is used to see nearer objects and the outer part to see distant object or vice versa. People can use any of these varieties of lens according to the doctor’s prescription.

Making oneself adapt the bifocal contact lenses is little difficult. However, the manufacture of bifocal contact lenses has not yet started fully. Some large companies have started manufacturing it, but they can cost you a lot. If you are suffering from both myopia and hyperopia; and you are in search of bifocal contact lenses, then contact your nearest store or any online store. The contemporary history of eye frames

The history of eye frames is a part of the history of spectacles. Before the modern shape of eye frames occurred, several centuries had been gone through since the invention of the glass lenses. It was until 1928, a London optician Edward Scarlett developed the temples to the eye frame, from then a new era was opened for the contemporary eye frames industry.

Before Edward, the most recent way of holding the two lenses in eye frame was to tie the eye frame around the head using ribbon or metal string. These ancient eye frame on the nose were heavy therefore usually causing pinching. In order to reduce the weight, people started to make eye frames made of tortoise-shell, which also superstitiously meant to bring good luck to the wearers. People also mounted the lenses on the fans, walk sticks for the convenience of use. Other than nose eye frame, people could choose monocle and lorgnette or scissors glasses.

In 1728, Edward’s genius invention of temples revealed the rudiment of today’s eye frames. Actually Edward’s idea was just to use the two arms to clamp at the temple area, and ribbons were still used to tie around the skull, so that the eye frame could be secured on the face. It was by 1880, temples were designed to curve at the end and the curves were used to hook the whole eye frame on the nose.

Before Americans developed the metal eyeglass frames and spectacles trade in the early 1900s, the eye frames were mostly made in Europe and were very precious and expensive. Americans made tortoiseshell and horn-rimmed eye frames in the 1920s and 1930s, which were very popular at that time. Also in order to cater to the tastes and needs of those status conscious buyers, Americans developed and made a lot of gold and silver eye frames then. Till WWII, steel-made eye frame became popular for their fashion design and durability.

In the 20th century, a type of plastics were developed which gradually occupied the major percentage of the eye frame industry. Plastics offered the wearers with widest varieties of semi rimless designer frames in colors, styles and patterns due to its easy molding and low cost. Later the popularity of sunglasses in Hollywood further boosted the design and manufacturing of eye frames.

Today’s eye frames are already a part of the fashion accessories just the same as clothes, jewelry and shoes. Unlike our predecessors in some two hundred fifty years ago struggling to use lenses to see blurry things clearer, our eye frames are applied to enhance persona and facial beauty.
