Recovering from LASIK Surgery

LASIK surgery takes less than 15 minutes to perform. Most patients experience improved vision immediately, although complete LASIK surgery recovery can take up to six months as vision takes some time to stabilize following surgery.

Following LASIK surgery, patients can expect a short recovery period. You may be required to wear a protective shield over your eyes for the first night or two following procedures. Although LASIK complications can occur, most vision correction patients are able to return to work and other daily activities the day after the procedure.
