Forget expensive eyesight correction Use a natural eyesight correction method

Exercises for the Eyes

Staring and straining or the worse things you can do to your eyes. After a long day at work, the eyes are tired and need to relax and renew to improve vision. The constant strain day in and day out does nothing but damage the eyes. Below are three exercises design to remove the eye strain.

The first exercise is the Dot exercise. To do this find a period or comma on the page and focus on making it as clear as possible. Stare at the period until it comes into focus. Chances are after a few seconds the period will actually became less clear and blurry.

Try relaxing your eyes. Close them for a minute and let them relax. Now look at the period without straining. Don’t stare; instead, let your eyes slowly move around the page, over and around the period. Don’t focus only on the period, the eyes need movement. Make sure to blink a bit. Try closing your eyes and picturing the dot and then look at it again. Once the eyes are relaxed it should be easier to see the period.

The second exercise is the Word exercise. Find a word on the page that is five or more letters long. Stare at the word so that all the letters are in view, but don’t move the eyes. Focus entirely on the whole word trying to get the best image in your head. Again, staring and concentrating hard is going to cause the word to blur.

Now, relax your eyes and allow them to move slowly over, around, and across each letter of the word. Blink. Allow the eyes to lead you; don’t force them to look at what you want. The word should be clearer when you look at it again. Letter the eyes move around is what will help them work best without the strain.

The third exercise is the Double Vision exercise. This exercise is meant to get your eyes to work together as a team. Most people use one eye to look at an object, while the other eye does its own thing. Squinting can help bring an object into focus with both eyes, but this causes unnecessary stress. The trick is to relax the eyes, focus on the object in a calm way, and allow both eyes to focus together.

Learning exercises to relax the eyes is a great way to develop lasting habits and ensure great eyesight for years to come.

Vision Without Glasses – Improve Peripheral Vision

Peripheral vision is the area of sight outside your central vision or focal point. While central vision is the 90 degrees point of your vision, including approximately 2 degrees up, down, toward the nose, and away from the nose; peripheral vision starts at the end of central vision and extends to 60 degrees up, 75 degrees down, 60 degrees toward the nose and 100 degrees away from the nose. Having a good peripheral vision will allow you to see the movement of objects outside of your central vision better, and will even improve your night vision to a certain degree. Being able to see moving objects that you are not focusing on has obvious advantages, such as allowing you to dodge an incoming object, or notice changes in your environment.

Here are some exercises that will help you improve peripheral vision.

The first exercise consists of left and right vision exercises. Sit at a table so that your eyes are level to it. Place an object in the center of your vision at arms length. Next, place other various objects to your nasal and temporal peripheral vision. While focusing on the object in your central vision, try to discern the details of the objects in your peripheral vision. After some practice, you will be able to discern more detail with less effort as you train your brain to use your vision more effectively.

The next exercise consists of up and down vision exercises. Stand facing a wall at about arms length. Tape an object to the wall in your central area of vision. Next, tape various objects or pictures in your up and down peripheral area of vision. While focusing on the object in your central vision, try to discern the details of the objects above and below. Again this exercise will become easier with practice.

Although peripheral vision is less detailed than central vision, improving your peripheral vision naturally can be beneficial in so many ways.

Improve Your Vision Naturally – Important Diet and Exercise Tips

Much has been written about ways to improve your eyesight naturally and to enjoy life again without the need for glasses. The most encouraging thing you can know is that this is entirely possible for the majority of people who take the time to research this topic. However, it won’t just happen because you want it to, some definite changes need to be made in your lifestyle and an effort on your part is required.

The good news here is that this is not at all hard to do. In actuality this is quite simple and your overall health and well being will benefit along with your vision.

So Lets get started by understanding what got us here.

The eyes are an important part of our body, and like our body, suffer from some of the same problems we subject ourselves to. Things like poor diet, over use and under use of certain muscle groups (muscles control and shape the eye), lack of exercise, stress and strain and much more, contribute to our failing eyesight.

Now is the time to “Make a New You Resolution”

At the top of our resolution list is Diet.

A good and sensible diet is important to eye health. We have, since grade school known about the benefits to eyesight that consuming carrots create. But other foods are equally important to improving eyesight as well.

Cold water fish are a source of DHA and recommended to prevent dry eye

Spinach, kale and other green leafy vegetables are rich in carotenoids, and help to protect the eyes from sun and blue light damage. Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins like A, C, E and beta-carotene, all needed for healthy eyes. Yellow vegetables like carrots and squash are important for day time vision. Eggs are a source of protein and also assist in preventing cataracts. Other important foods are garlic, onions and shallots (antioxidants), Soy (rich in protein), Blueberries and grapes (improve night vision), Nuts, legumes and whole grains (Omega – 3 fatty acids, lower cholesterol and stabilize cell membranes).

An overall healthy diet is important here, many popular diets can work for you, but careful research and consideration should be applied by you, as some diets can have an unhealthy effect on you. My personal favorite and one that I enjoy is the Mediterranean diet as it uses all the healthy foods mentioned here and has few restrictions and is rich in flavor and nutrients.

Improved eyesight is just one benefit here, other side effects can be weight loss, reduced body fat, lower cholesterol, more energy and a big boost in self esteem, just to name a few. Not bad so far.

Our next resolution is Exercise.

Key here is exercise and relaxation techniques specific to the eye; however an overall body exercise regime would compliment our healthy diet very well. Some easy exercises to get us started.

Sit, relax and roll the eyes slowly clockwise and counter-clockwise. Repeat this six times blinking between each.

Focus on a far away object 150 feet away and slowly bring your focus to an object 30 feet away repeat far and near focusing a half dozen times, blinking to keep the eyes moist.

Next extend your arm holding a pen and focus on it as you slowly bring it toward you until you lose focus, slowly back and forth as you focus on the pen, 3 sets of ten in between other exercises.

Try to lose your dependency on your glasses by not wearing them as often as you can do without them. Without straining to see this can help relax and strengthen them as well.

Relax by closing your eyes and very lightly massage them with your fingertips with a slow circular motion. Extend this massage to your temples and around your eye sockets while breathing slow and deep.

These are just a few techniques and tips you can begin to use on your way to improve your vision naturally. They alone may not be sufficient to improve your eyesight naturally but along with other exercises, techniques and diet you implement as a daily routine will help you to attain this goal. Research this topic and you can find much information to help you.
