After the dry autumn, there is the cold and still dry winter. The temperature is nearly zero with some snow and the wind becomes strong and fierce day and night. In this period every year, our body needs more care, indeed, especially for women. If there is not enough attention, the daily life will suffer a lot, to some extent. So do pay more attention to the body from now on.

First of all, a pair of healthy eyes does need more nutrients in the winter. For women, eyes are always the part need more care all the time. During autumn and winter days, a pair of dry eyes is usually a real nuisance for women, especially the myopia with contact lens. Of course, there are a lot of measures right for eye protection. For occupational women, working in the air-conditioning office room, eyes are easy to become dry, together with working in front of computer screen for hours. Keep eyes moving and give them more rest. Never concentrating on the screen over one hour. Five to ten minutes every hour is a must to keep healthy eyes. Then do the eye exercises and look in a distance. A cup of tea at hands to create moist environment, is also a good idea. Then are various of fruit and vegetables, like orange and green vegetables. They can complement enough vitamins and some water to the body. By the way, try to sleep early at night. Staying up late and less sleep are both harmful behaviours risking the health of body, especially eyes. For people with contact lens, do take off them and change for the glasses, when working with computer, especially in these harsh days.

Moreover, the skin is dry, too. Keeping skin moist is a hard and difficult task in autumn and winter. Compared to more makeup, some right food is more healthy. Some fruit and vegetables, like cucumber, tomato, grape, lemon, kiwifruit, etc. Besides all the above food, why not have a glass of milk and soybean in the morning? Of course, all the above food are not only good for skin, but also right food for our eyes’ heatlh. In daily, we should do some trifles to keep healthy. In fact, they are not excessive things and every trifle-looking measure is important for our health.

Estimation disclosed that about 125 million people use contact lenses worldwide, including 38 million in the USA and 13 million in Japan. By wear time, contact lenses can be classified into two types- daily wear and extended wear. Where daily disposable contact lenses are designed to be removed prior to be sleeping, an extended wear can be used continuously for 6 or more consecutive nights. An extended wear lens is provided with such material like silicon hydrogel which allow it to be worn for an extended time up to 30 nights. Oxygen surpassing capability is a feature which allows a continuous wear lens to give 5 to 6 times better service compared to a soft lens.

Using a contact lens sounds great, but when the maintenance factor comes, it becomes tougher. Eyes are the most valuable part of our body. It is very sensitive and prone to infection. So, people using a contact lens should take proper care of their lenses because it is connected with the protection of your sensitive eyes. Contact lenses, for normal use, are subject to daily wear and care. If you are not cleaning your contact lenses regularly, it may give rise to diverse problems like irritation, pain, blurred vision, redness, or light sensitivity. Contacts are not sterile and this may increase the chances of microorganism infections.

This discourse is specially designed to give you some useful tips about contact lens care. When you start wearing contact lenses for the first time, it becomes really tough to adapt. After a couple of days, your eye starts adjusting the lens. Use of contact lenses involves two steps—insertion and removal. Before inserting the lenses into your eyes, it is crucial to wash hands with normal soap that does not contain moisturizers, or fragrances. Some washing solutions are available for typical use which contains no anti-bacterial properties because it can, hence, eliminate the natural bacteria for eyes. The second step is to fill contacts with solution and insert it into the eye with the help of your index finger on the concave side while the other hand helps you to keep your eyes open. While removing, you may pull it out by your fingers carefully. Flap your eyelids to let the lens loose. This process may cause irritation. Take care if you have grown up nails.

Keeping your contact lenses always moist is important. After removal, it should be kept in a clean case and then close it tightly. The solutions used for the lenses to wear, must be kept in a cool place devoid of dust and filth.

Lens cleaning is not an easy process; it deserves much attention. You should avoid pouring any type of lotion on your hands as it can stick to the lenses. Remove the lens immediately if a dust property or foreign object gets into your lens and flush your eyes with adequate water to avoid irritation. The cleansing property you use should be rinsed off from the lens during post removal period. Don’t forget that an extra care can help your lenses last long.

Contact lenses have been populated much in recent days and many people embraced contacts as a substitute to their shabby glasses and often as an add-on to their style statement. This popularity came from the perfection of corrective aims of those lenses compared to spectacles. Medical studies have recently exposed facts related to approximately twenty percent of all premature babies who may develop such visual distortions as strasbismus or crossed eyes, amblyopia or lazy eye or serious refractive eyes when they are three years of age. They need strong thick glasses to wear in order to rectify the problems and have had chances for developing cataract. As they are children, lenses would better befit their eyes than those high-strength glasses.

There are cases that people going for the decorative purpose of contact lenses are developing some ocular problems because they avoid advice. Both the FDA and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have regulated sales of contact lenses. They involve certain regulations in order to buy a contact. For example, you better opt for your lens with a valid contact lens prescription, and it is because no other than an eye care professional can understand your eye condition and prescribe accordingly.

The right choice of lenses depends on several factors concerning your refractive error, the toleration power of your eyes, your dependence on the lenses and frequency of use. More information will the discussion provide you about how to pick suitable contacts for you.

First you have to decide how often you are to wear your contacts. Most people, who wants contacts for full-time use, wear soft contact lenses. On the other hand, if you choose to wear it on a daily basis, you would have gone for rigid gas permeable contacts. Masses wearing RGP contacts, may feel some sort of irritation, but after befitted into your eyes properly, it can give sharper vision. If you need contact lens to wear overnight, you can take one some lenses that allow an adequate amount of oxygen to pass through the cornea. It may not be safe for your eyes and the tolerance power of your eyes need a check by your eye doctor.

If you have crossed 40 years and need bifocals, then multifocal contact lenses may produce balmy effect on your eyes while you are engaged in study. If you have eye allergies and your eyes tend to be dry, then, before wearing contacts, you need advice from an eminent eye care professional. Recently, allergy-free lens care for stiff lenses are available in the market which helps to cope up with this adverse situation.

To add a fresh new look to you, color contact lenses are available. This type of contact lenses are broadly prescribed for the patients suffering from colorblindness. Though it may, to some extend, help them to recognize colors effectively, but can not cure it permanently. Non-corrective colored lenses are commonly used in theatres and films as it drastically changes the natural eye color and give a dramatic outlook.

We all know that eyes are very important for us, because our perception of the outside world depends mostly on our eyes. Everyone wishes to have a pair of bright eyes. While when our eyes have problems and we have to wear a pair of glasses, it is necessary for everyone (me included), especially the growing children and teenagers who are nearsighted or farsighted to take good care of their specs, which is good to their eyes and preserve their eyesight.

Frankly, I have suffered from being nearsighted ever since I started middle school. At first, I thought my vision could become normal as before with the help of the spectacles recommended by a professional doctor. But I was wrong, as I never took care of the eye glasses, which had them suffered from abrasions, thus leading to the worsening of my eyesight. So I had no choice but to get a new one. You hardly know how I regret not paying attention to my specs until one day I intended to buy another new pair on the website, www.Firmoo.com, where I found the importance of spectacles care. After that I learned how to keep it in good conditions. Here I would like to share with you my ways as following:

First, place it properly. When it is taken off, it should be kept in a place beyond the reach of children, who may get it broken and thus hurt themselves. It should be kept from moisture or sea water when you are taking a shower or swimming in the sea, as all these will get it eroded and do harm to eyes. Don’t put it under the sun, which will make the frame misshapen or the color faded. Keep it in the box if it is not be worn for a long time.

Secondly, keep the glasses clean. Get it cleaned at a fixed time, for this will help you have a better and clear sight. Rinse the specs with tap water; dry it up with the specially-made cloth after the lenses are washed by using liquid detergent.

In addition, if the frame is made from metal, keep it from water and moisture, acid gas and chemicals, and erosive substances.

Since all of us wish to have a pair of clear eyes, so when our eyes have problems it is necessary for us to take care of our glasses. In this way we can see the world clearly.

In modern world, with the fast pace of advanced technology and science, it is not unusual for us to find more and more high-tech products. So, for a lady who enjoys dressing up, who feels it an obstacle to show her beauty to others due to that pair of glasses, it is quite normal to buy contact lenses.

It is true that contact lenses can help some ladies get rid of the machine look of wearing frame glasses. However, ladies must be more careful to protect their eyes when wearing contact lenses since they are attached to eyeballs. They are more likely to cause problems to eyes if you do not pay enough attention. Here are some advices for ladies who are wearing or preparing to wear contact lenses.

1.Pay enough attention to hygiene. You must make sure that you wash your hands when you are wearing or taking out contact lenses.

2.You should change your contact lenses and check the health of your eyes regularly. Try to follow the instruction and your optometrist’s advice.

3.Wear your contact lenses before make-up and take them out before remove your make-up.

4.Don’t wear contact lenses when you sleep because they will stop your corneas getting enough oxygen?which is not good for your eyes.

5.You’d better wash your contact lenses with special contact lens care solution in order to kill bacteria. And what’s more, the contact lens care solution should be replaced every four months in case they go bad.

6.You need too use boiling water to wash your contact case regularly for fear of bacteria. Or, it is more likely of you to get your eyes infected.

7.It is better for those ladies who get a cold or fever, in a intermenstrual period, has eye diseases, over 40 years old or pregnant to wear contact lenses not wear contact lenses.

These are advice I give you according to my own experience of wearing contact lenses. Everyone should try their best to protect their eyes. After all, it is eyes that present the colorful world to us. So, take these advices and protect your eyes to enjoy the world.

Quite candidly, the perception of many people as well as our own was that a primary determinant of the affordability of LASIK was strongly related to the cost of having it done. We wonder if centers that charge slightly more or less than others benefit or are hurt by placing financial stress on the patients who elect to choose them. We are concerned about how important the cost of the procedure weighs in the average patient’s decision. Therefore, we decided to model the costs of LASIK at our current charges for the procedure as compared to the costs of glasses, contacts, solutions, and routine eye care to see just how much of a premium was involved for those who choose this option. We expected LASIK to cost more, and were very surpised just the opposite. The bottom line — having LASIK saves you money!

When we started looking at the actual costs for eye care over a lifetime we knew that there was a significant cost to glasses, contacts, solutions, and examinations for this care. We also knew that there are costs for LASIK and the costs associated with this care as well. For this reason we never put pen to paper and we were very surprised at our findings.

After a very conservative analysis these were our results:

A 20 year-old could save over $48,000 over his/her lifetime with LASIK

LASIK could pay for itself within 4 years (if you wear prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and use contact lenses)

LASIK is even cost effective for most people in their 40s and 50’s!

These statistics are based on the average U.S. life expectancy of 77.7 years, and our own estimates of vision correction costs based on current average industry prices and recommendations.

These are the basic cost assumptions of this analysis:

Prescription Eyeglasses: $200 every other year

Prescription Sunglasses: $350 every other year

Contact Lenses: $40 every month

Contact Lens Supplies: $12 every month

Annual Eye Exam (also applies to LASIK): $105 every year

LASIK Cost: $3,500

Actual prices will probably vary from our calculations, based on what your situation – your annual visits may be more or less expensive than our estimate, and you may pay a different amount for glasses or contacts or buy them at in less frequent intervals – but we hope that this will be helpful for anyone who is researching the costs and benefits of LASIK.

Importantly this model includes important eye examinations AFTER LASIK which add costs to the LASIK choice, but is far outweighed by the other costs. The savings are probably even greater than calculated because there is an increase or escalation in the costs of things like glasses every year whereas the costs with LASIK are fixed. Even taking into account that a small percentage of LASIK patients may need an enhancement procedure years later, there is still an obvious and significant savings by having the procedure.

What really puts this over the top is the benefit of financing at zero or a low percentage, since the time of financing takes away the large capital cost of having the procedure, and by the time that the procedure is paid for, about half of the savings has been realized. Also, the other half can be covered with the fact that the surgery is tax deductible and/or the use of flexible savings accounts to use pre-tax dollars to cover the costs.

If you want the details, this table shows at ages in 5 year increments what the projected savings over a lifetime are for having LASIK surgery. For instance, a 30 year old would need prescription glasses and sunglasses every two years and contact lenses and supplies totaling almost $53,000. Even with the costs of LASIK and examinations, there is a savings of over $39,000! Yes, some people may not wear contacts this entire time, but it is our experience that most LASIK patients are contact wearers who also have prescription glasses. Also, we are being very conservative on glasses costs. Some prescription glasses from designers with all the bells and whistles come in close to $1,000 just for one pair of glasses.

Based on the estimated costs of this analysis we can see that contact lenses and their associated costs are substantial. This assumption is for daily wear disposable contacts. Obviously for all of those who have significant astigmatism and require toric contact lenses the costs are significantly more. By contrast, anyone who only wears glasses can subtract the contact lens costs from their personal analysis. Even for these people, there is still a savings by having LASIK over glasses alone, or for that matter for contacts alone without glasses. The latter is not recommended in that contact lens patients should always have glasses, at least for a backup should they not be able to wear their contacts. Again, our experience is that most patients have a number of glasses and contacts when they come to visit us for consideration of LASIK. This analysis also does not take into consideration the increased costs of bifocals or trifocals, which are substantially more expensive than single vision glasses.

Based on all of these factors, we believe that on average this analysis is accurate for the average person and thus demonstrates the financial benefit of LASIK clearly. There are certainly many disclaimers that should be made on this type of an analysis and to the extent that we have missed anything important, please forgive us and feel free to comment to this post and we will make corrections.

So how often is there something that you can do which will benefit you for a lifetime, providing you with an improved quality of life AND save you money? Here is my epiphany — I think that at some level patients have realized this fact and that is why so many millions of people worldwide have decided to have LASIK vision correction. Not only for the lifestyle benefit, but also for the financial benefit.

In a broader context, is not a healthier America a better and more cost effective America? Can we learn something here that has broader implications in the health care debate and legislation before us today? The emphasis should be on what we can provide to the American people that is valuable and will ultimately decrease the cost of health care and increase human productivity which will make us net a wealthier nation. This country is based on a combination of a free market economy and helping those who cannot afford to help themselves. We should be able to extend this philosophy to medical, dental, and eye care.

In the meantime, I am happy to learn that LASIK has helped to provide a better life while saving money for all of those who needed it.

Here is the most impressive thing, the epiphany. While $3500 is a substantial amount of money, it is just about the smallest number on this chart. Would it really matter if this was $5,000 instead? Not much really. So the costs for this procedure should not drive the decision to have it but rather whether it is a good idea for a particular person and also picking the best provider to have the greatest chance of realizing these savings. Second, even people who are over 40 years of age still will have a substantial benefit. In fact at age 40 there is still over $30,000 of savings by having LASIK.

Due to eyeglasses, my life became miserable inch by inch. I assume that most girls with glasses have the same “nightmare” as I do. I have not being exaggerating. It is the fact. In accordance with a survey, over 70% males from fifteen to forty think that girls with glasses are less attractive that those without. Part of the reason is that most “glasses” girls do not have pretty eyes since eyes tend to seem twisted after wearing glasses for years. What’s worse, the nose becomes saddler gradually. If they want their noble noses back, the most effective choice is plastic surgery, which would undertake much risk and cost much money. Soon the contact lens appeared due to the development of science and technology, which have made millions of people drop their rimless eyeglass frames to be their selves, but it was still not marvellous antidote for those like me, who already have twisted eyes because of wearing it over 3 years and who are afraid of taking off the glasses on account of their eyes turning sightless and languid, a little scary, to some degree.

In this case, there are not many options left for me. I definitely need a new one, a lighter one with more functions including radiation resistant, dust prevention etc. Searching on Internet for a few hours, I found my preferable one on a website www.Firmoo.com. The biggest feature of the glasses is being light in weight. Usually a pair of glasses without metal frame is about 40 grams while this one made from a kind of special raw material is about 15 grams. All the glasses on this website are made from this material, which can resist not only dust but also radiation from computer and the spicy sun. Moreover, the human-oriented design of the supporting point on the nose bridge is very creative in a bid to make the nose under less pressure. Therefore my big problem has been solved.

Besides, many websites tells me that with proper eyeglasses and eye care, serving life of a pair of glasses can be very long, which surprises me a lot as I barely pay any heed to eyeglasses care and I go to get a new pair glasses every three month on average, mainly owing to abrasion. I’m also told that by doing eye exercise recommended and conducted by on-line ophthalmologist, the appearance of my twisted eyes can be improved a lot. I’m really happy and grateful because apart from a pair of ideal glasses, I have gained so much knowledge about glasses and eye care from that these websites.

Nowadays, for the glasses with the weight as a feather, the eyeglasses care and eye exercise, my miserable life has gone and I enjoy my easy life very much.
